Breath-taking World Heritage Site
My highlight of the Northern Ireland excursion was certainly our visit to the Giant’s Causeway. In my opinion, the “8th wonder of the world,” as it is called, is really impressive. The views from the cliff top path and the coast path are fascinating and the sight of the sea is splendid. The landscape is simply full of natural beauty. The formations of unusual basalt columns, which inspired the several legends we read in the seminar, create breath-taking scenery. So it was very exciting to scramble over the smaller stones of this World Heritage Site.
