Natural Sculptures, Warm School Welcome
One of my highlights of Northern Ireland was the scenic landscape. I liked Giantís Causeway very much. To me it seemed very impressive that nature is able to form itself into wonderful sculptures. We came across stones arranged like an organ and others which looked like a harp or even like chimneys. Furthermore I enjoyed our hiking tours in Donegal. We had a beautiful view of the area.
Other highlights of Northern Ireland were the two school visits. Both the Christian Brothers School in Belfast and the St. Peterís High School in Derry welcomed us politely and warmly. The principals introduced us to their schools and enabled us to talk to some of their pupils. In both schools we were also allowed to observe some of their classes. All in all we gained a very great insight into the Irish school system.
